KGL Foundation Hosts General Health Screening and Blood Donation Drive in Keta Municipal Area

Following the recent flooding in the Keta Municipal Area caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage, KGL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the KGL Group, took a proactive step to safeguard the health of affected communities. On Saturday, March 16th, 2024, the Foundation organized a General Health Screening and Blood Donation Drive to address potential health concerns arising from the floods.

The initiative, organized in conjunction with the Keta Municipal Health Directorate, aimed to provide residents with access to basic health screenings while simultaneously replenishing the Keta Municipal Hospital's blood bank reserves. Medical personnel were on-site to conduct the screenings, ensuring the well-being of those who participated.

The blood donation drive became a crucial element, aiming to ensure the availability of safe blood for those who might require medical attention in the aftermath of the flooding. Community members, understanding the importance of this life-saving initiative, came forward to donate blood. Refreshments were provided as a token of appreciation for their selfless act.

KGL Foundation's commitment to empowering Ghanaians extends beyond financial means. By organizing this General Health Screening and Blood Donation Drive, they demonstrated a dedication to the health and well-being of the Keta Municipal Area communities. This initiative served as a testament to their unwavering support, particularly during challenging times.
