KGL Foundation Supports Africa Dyslexia Conference 2025

The Africa Dyslexia Conference 2025, organised by the Africa Dyslexia Organisation, brought together educators, policymakers, researchers, and advocates from across the continent to address one of education’s often-overlooked challenges — dyslexia.

Over the 2-day experience, the conference explored early detection, effective teaching strategies, public awareness campaigns, and policy initiatives aimed at creating inclusive classrooms. The event underscored a shared commitment: ensuring that learners with dyslexia are not left behind due to lack of understanding or resources.

Dyslexia, a learning difference that affects reading, writing, and spelling, is not an indicator of intelligence. Yet in many African communities, it remains underdiagnosed and misunderstood, leading to avoidable academic and social barriers. By facilitating dialogue and sharing expertise, the conference works to shift perceptions and equip educators with practical tools for support.

As one of the sponsors of this year’s conference, the KGL Foundation contributed to making these important conversations possible. Our participation reflects our dedication to promoting inclusive education and supporting initiatives that empower all learners.

During the programme, our Programs Manager, Mr. Nii Annorbah-Sarpei, delivered a solidarity message on behalf of the Foundation, reinforcing our belief that inclusion in education is essential for building an Africa where every learner can reach their full potential.

The Africa Dyslexia Conference 2025 demonstrated the power of collaboration in tackling educational challenges. KGL Foundation remains committed to partnerships that remove barriers, promote equity, and ensure that no potential is left untapped.
