KGL Foundation Champions Mental Health and Skills Development at B.YOU Conference 2026.

The KGL Foundation proudly served as Gold Sponsor of the third edition of the B.YOU Conference, supporting a platform dedicated to helping young women discover their purpose, embrace their individuality and pursue opportunities for growth. Organised by Berla Mundi, the conference took place on 3 October 2026 at the UnderBridge Annex in East Legon, Accra, bringing young women together for conversations, shared experiences and practical learning.

Under the theme “Rooted in Purpose, Grounded in Authenticity – The courage to live your truth in a world of expectations,” the conference encouraged participants to reflect on who they are, what matters to them and how they want to shape their futures. It offered space to explore the expectations that influence personal and professional choices, while encouraging young women to recognise their strengths and build confidence in their own journeys.

This year’s conference placed a strong focus on mental health, with a dedicated conversation brought to participants by the KGL Foundation. The session created space to discuss emotional wellbeing and the pressures young women face as they navigate their personal and professional lives. It brought mental health into the wider conversation about purpose, identity and ambition, recognising the importance of wellbeing as women pursue their aspirations.

For the Foundation, this focus reflects its commitment to encouraging open conversations about mental health and creating spaces where people feel supported. Its contribution to the conference offered an opportunity to engage young women on issues that affect their everyday lives and reinforce the importance of giving their mental wellbeing the attention it deserves.

Alongside the mental health conversation, the KGL Foundation supported the skills acquisition session, helping create opportunities for young women to access funding to learn practical skills. This support gave participants opportunities to develop their abilities and explore interests that could contribute to their personal growth, career development and entrepreneurial ambitions.

The Foundation’s involvement brought together its commitments to mental health and youth empowerment, with a particular focus on supporting young women. Through these contributions, it supported both the conversations that encourage women to believe in their potential and the learning opportunities that help them act on their aspirations.

The KGL Foundation congratulates Berla Mundi and the B.YOU team on the third edition of the conference and their continued work to create spaces where young women can learn, connect and grow. Through its Gold Sponsorship and support for mental health and skills acquisition, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to investing in young women’s wellbeing, abilities and futures.
