KGL Foundation Provides Free Health Screening and Blood Donation to Support Healthcare in Oti Region.

Over 500 people gathered in Dambai, the capital of the Oti Region, for a free health screening and blood donation exercise organized by the KGL Foundation as part of our ongoing commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities across Ghana.

The initiative brought together residents of the Dambai community and students from the Dambai College of Education, all of whom actively participated in the exercise. The strong turnout reflects a growing awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare while also highlighting the need for accessible medical services within communities.

The program was designed to support individuals who may not have regular access to healthcare, ensuring they received essential medical services at no cost in a welcoming and professional environment. Participants benefited from a wide range of services, including blood pressure checks, temperature and pulse assessments, weight and blood sugar testing, and eye examinations, as well as medical counseling and health education.

These services were delivered by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals from the Worawora Government Hospital, helping beneficiaries better understand and manage their health.

As part of the initiative, a blood donation drive was conducted, with all collected blood donated to the Worawora Government Hospital to support and strengthen the region’s blood bank—an essential resource for saving lives and improving emergency healthcare delivery.

Speaking at the event on behalf of the CEO of KGL Foundation, the Foundation’s Programs Manager, Nii Ankonu Annorbah-Sarpei, reaffirmed the Foundation’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the well-being of Ghanaians: "Undertaking free health screening exercises comes at a significant cost, but we remain committed to supporting individuals who may not be able to afford medical care. We also encourage everyone to prioritize regular check-ups and healthy living for a stronger and healthier nation.”

The impact of the initiative was deeply felt, with many participants expressing their appreciation and calling for more frequent outreach programs. For many, the exercise provided convenient access to healthcare services that their busy schedules often make difficult to obtain.

At KGL Foundation, we remain committed to driving sustainable social impact through health, education, and community development initiatives. This outreach forms part of our broader mission to create healthier, stronger communities and improve the quality of life for people across Ghana.
